If you arrive to Milan by airplane, you are going to land at one of the following airports: Malpensa International Airport, Linate Airport and Bergamo Orio Al Serio Airport. Together they provide extensive and frequent national and international connections. There are several services (public and private) that connect the Milan city center with the Airports.
You can also get to Milan by train. The city has numerous railway stations at its disposal, the most important being Centrale, Lambrate and Garibaldi. From Stazione Centrale (Central Station) trains depart for all Italian and European destinations, while the others function as an important hub for regional services.
Milan has wonderful public transportation. You can get around using the Metro, bus, tram, taxi or bike. See more information here.
In Milan, capital of the Italian region of Lombardy, the climate is moderately continental. The first cold days typically occur in November. The average temperature hovers around 9-10°C (around 50°F). Overall, autumn is the rainiest season of the year. Although the number of rainy days is not too high, when it rains, the rain tends to last for several hours.
